The Potent's Odyssey Deck
Twenty-two guardians. The walk, in your hands.
The Potent's Odyssey is a deck of twenty-two cards, one for each guardian star, in the walk order from Vega to Deneb.
Each card carries the star as the ancestors saw it: the constellation it lights, the figure it was given, the role it holds on the walk. The art is built for the card, not borrowed onto it. The numerals and the movement names are part of the image.
It comes with a guidebook. Every guardian carries its teaching, the keepers who preserved it across cultures, and the question it asks of you.
What This Is Not
Not an oracle. Not divination. Nothing here predicts.
The deck does not tell you what will happen. It names what you carry, which is a different act entirely, and older. The stars over your birth were read as an inheritance, not a forecast, by every culture that read them at all. That is the tradition this belongs to.
How It Works
Twenty-two guardians, five Passages, one walk. Draw one and you get a fixed point of the human story, with everything said about that star across thousands of years standing behind it.
There is no wrong way in. Pull one card for the day. Walk the full twenty-two in order. Ask a question and let the guardian name what is moving through it. It is your deck and your sky.
Five Lenses
A guardian names what. A lens names where, and the same card read through two lenses says two true things.
The Great Passages
Where on the walk this belongs. The call, the bearing, the descent, the return, the handing forward.
The Shadow
The Hidden, the Projected, the Wound, and the Gold. This lens does not leave you in the dark. Every shadow holds a disowned gift, and the reading hands it back.
The Spheres
At what scale of your life this lives. The sphere names where; the guardian names what, and the gift it brings there.
The Body's Wisdom
Where you already know it. Some knowing never reaches language.
The Watch
What phase this is in, read against the four Royal Watchers: Aldebaran keeping the rising, Regulus the peak, Antares the setting, Fomalhaut the deep. Draw a guardian on the Deep and something is taking root out of sight. Its time is not yet, but it is alive and becoming.
The lens plates are in the guidebook, with the layouts.
Printing
Tarot size, 2.75 × 4.75 inches, tuck box. Printed to order.
Ships when the first print run clears. Founding orders ship first.
Walk It, or Have It Told
The deck hands you the instrument. A reading hands you the reading: your actual sky, calculated for the moment and place you arrived, written by hand.
